Headlights

I've done some searching but still not sure what to do. I wanna upgrade the stock HID's on my 2014 TL and wad thinking of going with some 6000k bulbs. will this give me much improvement over the stock bulbs? Also, I was thinking of replacing the fogs with a 6000k HID conversion kit as well. Is this a good idea or no...?? Thanks.

When you say upgrade, what do you mean? Do you want to have sharper cut-off? Do you want to have brighter light? More color? Less color?

6000k bulbs will be a downgrade from you stock bulbs (4300k) with respect to pure output. It will add more color, however, at the cost of lumens. Refer to the following:

HID Color Temperature Differences | eHow

Our stock projector lenses are fresnel (cloudy) and account a soft cut-off. You could replace the lens with a clear lens for a sharper cut-off and possibly more color above the cut-off.

You could also replace the bulb with a higher end bulb. See here for that:

What if I just replaced the stock fog light bulbs with some 6000k's? Would that give me a brighter light?? I'm just looking to brighten up the road without spending a ton of cash since the car is a lease and will be going back to the dealer eventually. Thanks.

no.

upping the Kelvin scale will not make it brighter....color intensity changes but lumens decrease....

Upgrade your fogs to HID first. You may not need to trouble the headlights. If you want more out of the headlights you will need to consider a tsx-r lens in the housing.
