Hello all. Last year I bought a 2012 TL, I had it for about 3 months before someone rear ended me on the freeway totaling it. I went and got a 2013 last week and I love it however I feel like it's a bit smaller than my last car. Everything I've read online says they're the same but I can't shake the feeling that this car is a bit smaller.

Is the 2013 smaller than the '12 or am I imagining things? The '13 i have is SH-AWD while my last one wasn't, does that make a difference in size? Thanks in advance.

 

to change the size, acura would need to re-tool their plant and change sheet metal.

it would cost too much to do so. its the same size.

and yes, the all wheel drive system takes up MORE room in the interior...so, if that's what you mean by smaller.

 

Thank you justnspace. So maybe it's the AWD system that makes the inside feel a bit smaller. I also read that the FWD may have slightly bigger trunk space. Interesting.

 

right because an all wheel drive system is more complex and needs more space.

 

The trunk is smaller in AWD version. When I bought weather tech matts, you need to specify the type. I can't comment on the center hump in the rear seats.
