Goodbye Type S manual, Hello SH-AWD Manual!
Hey guys. After a lot of searching and waffling back and forth between a black and silver 2012 TL. I went with the Silver and couldn't be more pleased. To me pictures of the Silver in the daytime don't do it justice.
I found a car in Atlanta and had it shipped to me. Only 11,000 miles on it!
I was a little sad to see my TLS drive away but very happy with the new car.

Probably those sweet ass rims(LOVE) and how well the two-tone silver/black interior went with the Silver car.
Other than that, nothing.
Because my 4G is also a six speed manual, I don't really miss anything driving-wise compared to my 3G TLS. (If I would have gotten an automatic, I would have regretted it.)
The 4G is a bit faster, way better handling, is a real head turner in Silver, much better interior, better sound system, better seats, better tech. BETTER. Everything in the car is better. I love the little shark fin XM antenna too.
It's funny because for years I always thought the 4G was ugly because of the beak and other things and said I would never trade my beloved TLS in for THAT. Well, that all changed over time. The 2012 Grill is far more acceptable, and I love the tail end as well. Its just a great looking car IMO.
Hell even the 2009 Grill is acceptable with a kit.
So overall. Great car. No regrets. My TL-S is in the rear view mirror at this point.

Probably just some tasteful mods. Maybe a roof spoiler, k and n air filter, some synchromesh. Maybe new rims and tires when I get to that point. I am open to some performance mods but nothing that would make the car sound too loud. Not my style. After all, our car is "aggression in its most elegant form"

I must have gotten extra lucky... I showed up to the dealership to test drive mine, and the salesman actually pulled out the wrong 6MT... I was there for a completely different one, and there were at least 2 in stock LOL

thanks. Its funny, when I was looking to trade my TLS in and was getting quotes from various dealers one dealer told me that I am lucky my car was Silver. He said anything other than Silver or Black and it hurts your trade value. Nice to know I will be able to get top dollar if I ever get sick of this car. Which at this point is hard to imagine
