I can sit comfortably in the TL, and I wear a G like a wetsuit.

I was looking at the overall passenger volume, which the G has more space.

For me, being 6' with a smaller frame, both the TL and G fit me perfectly. The TL, being physically bigger, didn't give me the initial nimble feeling, but after driving it for a week, it performs pretty well. Anybody here remember those old Pontiac adverts that "wider is better"? I somehow just began reminiscing about that while writing this.

The G has more passenger volume without the moonroof, the TL has a bit more when they both have a moonroof equipped. FWIW, the TL moonroof is always standard, you can't get it without one.

I found the G's measurements a bit surprising, just don't see it the way it compares on paper. There clearly seems to be less space and smaller seating surfaces, not to say it's necessarily cramped though. If the space is there, it's all in the headroom it would appear, unlike the TL where it is in width and overall cabin length, two areas you can't easily adjust for. However, headroom and legroom you can.

Tough one

Stumbled on this thread by doing a search for Tl Shawd vs g37xs... Im shopping for a car and was set on a used BMW 2011 or 2012 depending what I find in my price range but started to decide the acura or infinity would be much better reliability and long term options. Also I. Not sure if I'm weird.. But think I would feel self conscious driving to work in the BMW with the gossiping and stereotyping.

Anyway I started looking closer at the g37xs for the extra performance but I still like the acura. Bought my wife a 2007 mdx and it runs great still and she loves it.

i drove a 10 and 12 g37s. i liked the car. it looked good, was sporty and decent ride quality but... i never felt a connection to the car. TL's on the other hand i felt an instant connection when driving them. the enjoyment driving a tl is so much better than numbness i had when driving the g37. just my

Just go test drive the both of them and your time examining everything inside.

Here's what I notice between the two (2013 TL SH-AWD Tech vs 2013 G37x with Prem and Navi).

-The G37x was much more cramped compared to the TL. Even with the driver seat set for myself at 5'10", the seat behind wasn't spacious or easy to get in/out without having contact with the seat. The middle seat in the TL is useless though.

-Noise levels, you should notice more road and engine noise from the G37.

-G37x is noticeably quicker in acceleration, but in corners, that SH just leaves it behind with so much confidence.

-Engine refinement is much better in the TL.

-Interior quality seemed and felt like a notch better than the G37 as well.

-Then as for looks, it's all up to you.

When the acura dealer gave me a 2012 Tl loaner I was really impressed. I liked it a lot. Felt plenty quick drove nice. I assume would like the Shawd even more.
