Front windshield gasket peeling off

Looks like all the winter snow storms we’ve been having in New England finally caught up to my car. Any clue on how I should fix this? Should I worry about leaks from rain?

I had that happen as well but ended up having the windshield replaced altogether due to a crack that was big enough to fail safety. I watched the windshield tech reinstall the gasket and it looked like he simply used some sort of adhesive. I bet a little superglue would work fine.

Couldn't tell ya on leaks, but it's probably a good idea to take care of it sooner than later.

How much did the windshield replacement end up costing you? I got a few nasty chips but no cracks. I have an appointment with the Acura Dealer this Saturday. I could imagine how much they’ll charge to fix this gasket. Was thinking of glue but I don’t know how much that’ll hold up to water. This is also happening to my rear windshield on the corner.

I think I paid just shy of $200. I haven't had any problem with the rear window.

That’s not bad at all for a new windshield. Aftermarket Glass I assume.

that rubber continues to deteriorate along the side of the window - and along the chrome strip over the roof.

highway trip at speed it - it works loose and irritates you as it flops against the car

Is that at the top of the windshield? I had a similar issue after having a windshield replaced, but not in my TL. With that car I just pushed the rubber strip back into the channel.

Yes it is. I tried to push it back in but it’s not going place.

Hopefully I can get it fixed before that happens.
