Front Grille

I have a 2009 TL and I was thinking about painting just the "beak" on the front grill. Does anybody know if you can just remove the "beak" or do you have to remove the whole grille? Thanks in advance.

You have to remove the whole grill to gain access to the "beak"

You can just take the beak off. I did it on my wife's 2010. Don'y get me wrong,it was very tight but can be done with the right tools and patience.
