Finally official! - New 2010 SH-AWD w/ Tech
Thanks to everyone for the great information that I took advantage of during my buying process - this site is an amazing resource.
I finally pulled the trigger last night on a new Black/Ebony 2010 SH-AWD w/ Tech. Loving the car, can't wait for break-in to be over.
Looking forward to participating now as an owner, not just a lurker.

I knew I shouldn't have posted this without pics, but I haven't had time since I brought it home to take them.
I am blessed with the financial wherewithal to have purchased a 550 or big E class without much discomfort, but I work in a professional services field where rolling up in such a vehicle at a client's office or even my own office would be looked upon negatively by the client and my partners.
As a result, I looked for a vehicle with the optimal blend of comfort/performance/class for a reasonable price point. Nothing else compared to the TL SH-AWD/Tech - I drove them all.
Plus, the price was phenomenal - I won't embarrass either the dealer or other recent buyers by disclosing what it was, but Stevens Creek Acura was highly motivated to get the deal done and they made the process very simple.
I sound like a fanboy, but I am very pleased with both the car and Stevens Creek (so far).
Also, my Verizon Blackberry Tour paired like a dream.
I'll try to get some pics soon.

To save you a possible future headache, I also have the tour and had a problem with the phone and bluetooth not working properly. If you ever have any problems with either, just take out the battery to the phone and reboot it. It sounds easy enough but I know I got pretty upset when the problem arose. Just for future reference but I hope you wont have to use it. Congrats on your purchase!

I wasn't a huge fan of the 3G when it first came out (as many, many others) but after you see some with mods, wheels, etc... you realize the potential.
Congrats on the purchase! I love to see the 4G group growing also.

Congrats Greg! I too am a new owner and like yourself, I can't wait to get through the break-in period! I'm finding every excuse these days to run errands and such to get to 600mi sooner than later!

I had not tried this until today - unfortunately, that seems to be the one hiccup with the pairing - I was not able to make the bluetooth audio work...

First, congrats on the new car. I'm seriously thinking about trading my '05 TL for either a '10 FWD tech, or a '10 SH-AWD Tech. Quick question.....does the manual state there's extra service that needs to be done for the SH-AWD system vs the FWD TL? If so, does anyone know how often and estimate the cost of the service(s)?

Well for one you need to have fluid replacement/maintenance for the rear diff. Other than that I'm not sure if there are any other additional maintenance due to the AWD aspect. I'm sure others will chime in.

^With the limited choices for a 6MT and AWD in the luxury segments I also heavily considered a 535xi but quickly came back down to reality. It really isn't worth an extra $20k equally equipped or perhaps I just don't value the prestige factor or however they justify it by that much more.
It helps that the TL on top of being a better value is safer and has a much higher expected resale value. I will keep the extra dough and sacrifice the 3 or 4 features the TL might not have.
I must admit the upcoming 5 makes me want to wait to see what it is all about but I can't allow myself to potentially spend that kind of money on a car. If and when the time is right I am to spend what is expected to be around $65k-$70k well equipped, I will just skip the nonsense and go straight to an M version.
