Faulty ABS Control Module????

I have a 2014 SH-AWD 6MT TL that's had a very odd issue just come up. My battery went completely dead, and after swapping it out, I got a bunch of dash lights (Hill Assist, VSA and ABS). Everything I've read says that the codes just need to be cleared, so I wasn't too concerned. I took the vehicle to my local Acura dealer, and they said they weren't able to clear the codes, and after diagnosing it further, they said that the ABS Control Module is faulty and I need a new one. Of course, this is a $2500+ part, and I'm VERY skeptical that this is the problem. The car was functioning 100% normally prior to the battery swap. I've had all my service performed on schedule, and the car only has 60k miles. My understanding is that it's VERY rare for the ABS Control Module to go bad, so I was hoping to get everyone's opinion here on the best next steps to take.

Thanks!

Next step: take it to an independent mechanic and get a second opinion.

Try a battery cable reset.
