DRL sensor problem?
DRL sensor problem?
I'm driving in sunny Los Angeles and my DRL is set on auto but yet the headlights turn on. I tried to turn off and on and then set to auto but no luck.
I wiped the sensor on the dash just to make sure nothing is blocking it too.
Anyone else having this problem before. I plan to bring it to the dealer but just wanted to make sure it wasn't "user error". haha
Thanks.

DRL lights have nothing to do with the Auto headlights. Day Time Running lights are always on but at a reduced power for safety. You should notice that when the DRLs are on none of your other interior or exterior lights are on
for starters.. your drl's are on when your headlights are off.
once you turn on your headlights, drl turns off.
you can set sensitivity on the DRL via mid from what i can remember.

For DRL, there is nothing for the driver to activate or disable, except engaging and disengaging the hand/emergency brake lever.
But for the headlights, the driver can toggle the control to OFF, AUTO, or ON.
