Driveline Whine
Maybe I am being too picky with noise but does anybody with an SH-AWD notice when you are going about 40 mph or better and let off the gas the car makes a whine, kind of a whirring noise?
I thought maybe it is my rear diff, but doubt that. It goes away under any acceleration. Does this sound normal to you?

I havent heard anything like that yet. Ill listen for it when I drive home today. I drive with my radio off all the time to listen to the car, I would think I would have noticed that..... Ill check though.

Defintely not a wheel bearing. That usually sounds more like a prop plane. Hard to describe but sounds like a whining. If I place it in neutral it does not stop. It only stops under acceleration.

I checked it out on my drive home. I can hear not really a whine but a high pitched something that seems to go along with the drivetrain..... doesnt seem like anything bad.

A customer of mine that bought the very first 09 SH-AWD from me just had her driveshaft replaced due to a similar noise. A bearing had gone out and was making that noise. I say "similar" because I obviously have not heard yours before.
