Door handle lock hole cover???

So I just got my car back from the body shop... (they were doing some work after an asshole brushed up the side of my car)...

My question is, was there some sort of a cover for the key hole on the door handle? For some reason I think that there was and they did not replace it. See photo below... do others with a 2010 tech have a cover over the keyhole in their car?? Please let me know!

Incorrect - my passenger has no keyhole at all.

TL tech has the proximity sensor, so you shouldn't NEED a key unless your fob dies... which is why I thought it may have a cover that you only pop out if you need to get in the car with the physical key.

I just can't seem to remember whether there was in fact a cover. I did a double take when I was getting in it the other day and something looked off... I thought there wasn't a visible hole before...

Naah, don't think there was ever a cover for it. The driver side has the key hole and all the 4G TLs that i have come across has it.

protip: if you would like to cover it, buy an additional one for the left rear door.

then remove the key hole one and install the left rear door cover onto the drivers door.

The key has more functions than just opening the door. If your windows are open and you don't want to get into the car and push the button to turn the car on and close all the windows and moon roof, you can close the windows and moon roof with the key as well. See the manual.

What annoys me is that I can open them with the remote, but not close them with the remote. I then have to use the key which still involves walking my lazy ass to the car and taking my key out of the FOB.

KP window roll up Module is your friend.

buy it. install it at the drivers door panel/window switches.

then roll down windows with key fob.

then roll up windows with key fob
