DIY: TL Grille Removal
Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this forum so I figured I would contribute some useful information. I know there are other DIY's covering the same subject, but the information I found wasn't overly specific.
TL Grille Removal (2012-2013):
1. Pop hood
2. Remove Engine Cover (3) by gently pulling straight up at clip locations.
3. Remove Engine Cover (2) by gently pulling straight up at clip locations. Rotate hood latch to clear cover when removing.
4. Remove (4) 10mm bolts that attach the upper grille to the radiator support. (Red Arrows)

5. Remove (6) plastic clips that attach the lower grille to the bumper cover. (Yellow Arrows)
The best way I found to do this was to lay under the front bumper and with a very small flat head screw driver, pop the inner part of the clip out by getting the flat head under the edge of the clip and gently rotating the driver to free the clip. Work back and forth from one side of the clip to the other until it pops free. Once the center section is free, remove the entire clip from the grille. The (2) center clips are extremely tight to the bumper beam so you'll have to flex the grille/bumper to get the clip free. A clip tool like this may make the process easier
6. Once all of the grille hardware is removed, gently remove the grille by pulling it up and away from the vehicle.
