Difference in 2012

Probably been asked a million times, but I'm old, "give me a break"

Any major difference from 2012 SHAWD and the 2013 and 14 models? Thank
You. Bill C.

One minor difference: The "Acura" on the back is gone for 13 and 14 models.

Good info ! I never knew that. When I get my 4G I will probably want to remove both the Acura and the TL. And maybe the SH-AWD ornaments too.

And the manual control for the auto dimming mirror is gone. You can't turn it off in the '13 & '14.

I left the SH-AWD on my car in the hope that if it ever gets towed... the tow guy will spot the SH-AWD and flat bed it instead. I know... wishful thinking.

Not to hijack the thread.. but since the rear diff clutches are electromagnetic, when the engine is off, are the rear wheels coupled to anything? Couldn't the car be towed with the rear wheels on the ground (assuming the E-brake is off)?

I suppose I could go look in the manual... if I could find it.

^ IDK about that stuff but the manual says to flat bed and that having 2 wheels on the ground can damage the SH-AWD system

I almost caught a heart attack as I watched a tow truck guy in the process of towing my ZDX with only the rear wheels off the ground. I have never ran so fast in my life. I had to give him $120 cash just to release it. Glad I caught it in time before he drove away with it.
