i have a 2009 tl and really like it, although sometimes i wonder about the exterior styling. it was what caught my attention when i was in the market for a new car.

i thought it looked really cool like a robot. this was before i even knew it was so controversial, i'm lying if i havent second guessed it after making the purchase, but either way im pretty sure i like it.

point is, a lot of ppl are hating on acura for their grille, but it really seems like they are starting a trend or am i wrong? chevorlet seems to be implementing a shield like grille on the front of their cars. specifically they look very similar to the '07-'09 mdx grille. (speaking of mdx grille, the updated china version looks like a beast.)

anyway i know there are a lot of threads about the grille and im not tryign to start a debate here, i was just wondering if anyone else made the observation. so its just interesting that the volt won car of the year and yea i know its based on other criterias other than exterior styling.

so maybe acura is on to something... as for my tl, i cant help but think the back looks like rhonald mcdonald lol and to be honest the more i look at the back of a 3g tl, i get jealous (the tail lights look so cool). i just think we should keep an open mind and give them more credit.

p.s. i definetly think the 4g is getting more popular, just the other day i saw 3 other 4gs on the road on my way to and from work, including mine would be 4

I drove behind some friends and they told me the TL looks menacing as it approaches from the rear and it looks as if it slips off into the night as the tail lights aren't excessive. I know one thing for sure, "Chicks dig the car." I get some serious compliments from the ladies about the ride. Chevy well, the sincerest form of flattery is copying. So they say.

For better or worse, at least our TL's do have a very distinctive look. That is one of the things I liked about it. So many car look about the same regardless of make or even price. With a current generation TL, we car always find our cars in the parking lot.

Saw the rear end of an older Hyundai yesterday. I swear it looked like the foundation for the current Audi design (which is more attractive). But I was momentarily confused by the similarities. The longer I own my TL and look at it the more boring, safe, derivative, and conservative other designs look to me.
