So I'm installing a tech decklid spoiler on my base model tl. The camera hole is going to be functional so I want the truck opening switch to also work, what is needed to be done so that the switch works with my TL?

Hey man. I was looking to do the same! I was looking for a TECH spoiler with camera for my 2009 non-tech TL. Once I get it installed, I will be installing an aftermarket system using the Metra dash kit. Most aftermarket head units have a standard RCA type video port for the rear camera. The TECH TL spoiler camera has a proprietary connector that only interfaces with the factory TECH system. There is no adapter I can find that will work to convert the TECH TL spoiler camera connector to RCA. Someone also had this idea before:

As a result, I am just going to buy a standard spoiler and add a camera near the license plate.
