Check Engine Oil Level?

Today as I was driving to work my car flashed "Check Engine Oil Level" very shortly then it went off, then it came back on and off a few times eventually staying off. I did an oil change yesterday. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Did you check the oil level after the light came on? If so, how did the level look?

Yes, the first thing I’d do if I got that message would be check my oil. Perhaps something wasn’t on tight and you’ve lost some?

Yeah, I'm thinking the gasket from the old filter didn't come off and then new filter is double gasketed which in turn means MAJOR oil leakage.

Doesn't look extremely low, and like I stated, the notification just was super sporadic and only lasted a few seconds then it went away.

It's right on the full mark. Maybe you have a bad sensor.

That's what I was thinking possibly. I think there may be an electronic/fuse problem because neither the driver or passenger vanity lights work, the dome lights don't work, and the homelink (garage door) buttons don't work. It's almost the entire overhead button cluster, besides the sunroof button which is functional.

The top line above the hash marks is the full line. The line below the hash marks is the 1 qt low line.

Some of the oil sensor are defective, check your year here to confirm:

Even if your year is not on the list, it still may be defective.

I've had the same thing happen. I immediately pulled over and checked the oil. It was fine. Hasn't done it since.
