Cargo net help

I've seeing a cargo net on the 4th gen thread that goes across and to the left for extra carriage but I can't find it anymore. I purchased the oem cargo net but didn't like how it fit so I ended up returning. Can you post how you have your net install or for that person who has that type of cargo net.

I have the OEM net. You can use it two (at least) ways. The first is to lay it flat on the trunk floor to keep things from sliding around. The second is to have it upright against the back of the trunk (closest to the bumper), which is how I use it. It's pretty stretchy, so it will hold items of varying sizes. It's also adjustable.

Do you have any photos showing the net close to the bumper. I went to the dealer and even the parts department guy told me it didn't look right so I ended up returning it.

It has 3 positions. Flat cargo hold & up against the trunk lip like JM2010 SH-AWD said, and one more as a trunk divider.

I just installed mine the other night. When I get back home, I'll take and post pics. You kind of have to follow the instructions to use the correct loop, depending on the position.

Also, if you're used to other nets like Toyota's, in the trunk lip position, the Acura's won't be flush against the trunk wall. But it still works.

That's my Bumper Bully.

I had to "activate" the Bumper Bully so that I can take unobstructed pictures of the cargo net.

The Bumper Bully is to prevent this: http://blockedtl.acurazine.com/forum...d.php?t=849771

I live in Chicago, and my Spec.B had a couple holes punctured in from the screw head holding the license plate of the cars that has parked behind me in the past.

It's an atrocious thing that people do when they park. The Bumper Bully may be ugly, but it won't leave an ugly mark on my bumper. Plus, when I drive, I put the Bumper Bully back in the trunk. Unfortunately the bumper line of the 4G TL is so high, that the Bumper Bully does look like a bib. Ha ha.

As for the front, I can't say the Bump Shox looks as tolerable. Worse, it's more permanent. Attached are pics of what it looks like. (Puke) Their website shows the whole thing being black, but when I got it, it has the painted part! So I haven't installed it yet, because I want to paint that white and red lettering black. Or if it looks so bad, I might not even install it at all...

Thank you for the photos sample StHalcyon and now I've a better picture on how to install it but now I noticed a piece hanging out which I pointed on this photo. This is the way I want use the cargo net.

Don't understand what's the purpose of using the net this way

That portion you pointed out is the extra portions of the elastic band. Depending on the position you want to install the net, you use different loops on the elastic band. I've attached the installation guide with illustrations, which should help you understand.

This position is to hold things down flat to the floor. If you ever noticed pellets of things on trucks, they basically tighten the cargo down. Similar approach here.

One application I can think of using this position is when I am transporting food in the pan and going to a friend's pot luck party. You put the entire pan under the net, and it won't tip over or slide around (assuming you put the lid handle through one of the openings in the net).

Hope all this information helps.

Thank you. I'll go back to the stealership and buy it again. lol

I've seen another member with a cargo net that I think belongs to a 2008 TL model like the link below
