Broken exhaust manifold...if you are lucky.
Camshafts pitted and eating themselves and/or the engine eating itself.
What is the oil pressure, and you see metal sparkles in the oil? Does it have oil in it?

do you maintain the vehicle? Do you do any maintenance, like oil changes?

My condolences on hearing that sound. I wouldn’t run that without looking at the cams and the cam timing. Did you run low on oil?

May also be the hydraulic timing belt tensioner has failed

Yes I did all my maintenance... the car was burn oil badddd! I wonder if that use the engine to fail premature im at 300kms .. Im not sure what to do with it smh

I didnt see any metal in the oil... the oil was so black tho and the mechanic said gas got mixed in with it
