Can you change the electronic display to metric easily?

I am seriously considering a 2010 TL SH-AWD that I may eventually take from the States to Canada. For the speedometer, that is not a big issue as it has the km/h already there - just in smaller numbers.

However, for other things like the temperature, tire pressure, trip distance etc. that you see on the electronic display of the dashboard or the navigation screen, can you just easily switch from the Imperial system to the metric system easily, with just the adjustment of a button or switch or something please?

I would appreciate your input on this! Thanks.

Yes you can and it's a parameter setting. The instructions are in the manual.

Thanks so much, Kingmeow! This is reassuring. My salesperson kept telling me that it's NOT possible. I don't understand why it would not be, when even my 04 TSX can do that! Anyway, if it is not possible, I might just forget about the purchase for now.... I know, isn't it silly that sometimes these tiny little things may even be dealbreakers?

I forgot that I have the PDF of the manual on my computer so I just looked it up. You can definitely change between F or C with temperature but I don't seem to find anything on changing PSI to kPa or trip distance to km on the US model. I would wait for others to chime in or do some more research on the internet. I'm at work now so don't have the time to go through the manual with a fine tooth comb.

As far as I know there's no options to change it on the system. Not through the MID at least. I don't know why in Canada we have PSI listed on the door, PSI on the tire pressure readers, PSI on the compressor. Yet on the display, it's kPa! I would love for the MID to show PSI instead of kPa.

You get my vote. kPa is like having a decimal fraction after the PSI. What value is there in having such a fine measurement and you can never quite get them all to match.

Any news about how to make US Acura TL 2012 to show km instead of miles? The navi setup option doesn't work.
The only thing that is coming to my head is to try to install Candian Navi disc. Any one has got one ot maybe knows where to get?

Any help is appreciated.

It seems the Navi is independent of the MID. It was the same way on my 2006 TL and for both cars no one at the dealerships knew of any way to change the MID display to show miles, pounds, etc. It's a shame really and it would have been an easy feature to include in the original design. My old 1988 Buick Park Avenue even had that feature.

I think you can do it via MMI. Good luck!

This doesn't address the OPs issue. It simply corrects for a temperature difference not how to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Nor does it address how to change other metric parameters.
