Brake Caliper Cover

Found a set of plastic brembo brake caliper cover on ebay.
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/4Pcs-set-3D-B...ht_5972wt_1113

What do you guys think? The price isn't bad to cover up the ugly look of the oem calipers.

Please don't.... I saw them on a scion .... It's obvious they're not real and when they're on stock brake rotors ... It's very unbelievable

It's like gluing a Mercedes Benz "star" on the hood of non-MB vehicle.

Don't do it.

We'll be the judge. Do it, and post some pictures, they're cheap anyway.

I would save some money and pay for the real thing. Your not really taking care of your car if you put any fake covers or looks on it. Thats just me!

Saw them on a parked 5th gen camaro a few days ago. I went from surprised they came on the RS model to , they're just covers. Was pretty easy to tell with the OEM 5 spoke wheels on, maybe if you had a mesh wheel or something with a lot of spoke you'll be able to conceal they're covers.

Just paint the calipers! I bought G2 caliper paint and painted them myself.

Only if one can do the paint job right. Otherwise the paint finish will flake and chip, thereby making the painted calipers look even worse than unpainted.

Don't get caliper covers and don't paint stock calipers flashy colors. Both are obvious attempts at having performance brakes that fall well short and into the tacky category.

Azn, I want to like them, but at the end of the day, they do look cheezy. Just paint yours.

Not sure that anyone does it for anything but the look and not an attempt at having performance brakes. Much like rear roof spoilers, cleared headlights, tinted tails, etc.

I should've said, "having [the look of] performance brakes." Obviously it's just for looks. It fools some people that don't know jack about cars anyway, but when people in the know see it, it's a travesty. Uncle Ben's to the nth.
