hi all i just had a quick question so im guessing stock base tl doesnt have the els radio? is there a big difference in sound and if so is there a way to upgrade it ?

 

It should have the ELS sound system.....

 

just wondering becuase alot of the pics i see on here it says els on the radio by where you put the cd in and in mine it doesnt........

 

It should NOT have ELS. ELS sound system only comes with the Technology package, not the Base model.

 

I have tech and non-tech. Trust me the Tech system is a BIG upgrade to the sound.

The ELS is very powerful and you can feel the bass. It makes the acura stock system seem weak.

That being said the stock system is nice enough. It does have a subwoofer, and it supports USB, bluetooth, and XM.

is it possible to upgrade the sound system to els in a base model?

 

If you qualify yourself as any level of Audiophile then the Tech package with ELS is the only way to do any Acura, huge difference. As for aftermarket upgrades I would think you might be able to add an amp and speakers, but swapping out a stock head unit might be impossible since it is a customer design for the dash.

 

Car audio is fun but doesn't make the car faster. 4G TL ELS is one of the best. SAVE YOUR MONEY

 

He doesn't have the ELS. He has the standard set up.
