I just purchased a 2012 Tl. I didnt think missing the tech package would be a big deal, but I really miss the back up camera. Does anyone have any info on an aftermarket camera? Is the screen in the car camera ready?? Brands and prices please....

sorry bud, but if you didnt get the tech package, your stock base screen wont work..

your going to have to get a mount on back up setup

I put a pioneer double din system in my buddies Altima coupe last summer that had the backup feature built in, and included the camera.

Wiring harness, bezel, unit, GPS antenna and camera, I think it was about $1000 total. Very nice - top notch stuff. Spent $35 to get the SWI box for steering wheel controls to work with it. Has bluetooth phone, and ipod cable/charger, plus an aux cable.

Took me all day to wire it right; tied the backup camera into the backup light for voltage / activation.

Works great.....but expensive option.

You could likely find a factory camera / decklid with the camera off a wreck and tie it into any aftermarket head unit. It's composite video with power - which is pretty standard with everything.
