AWD Four Wheel Burnout
I meant on dry conditions. Altering road conditions by oiling the street, tire soaking, steep uphills, also do not count; no aids. This burn/peel out is a product of power you're putting down. In case you're MT, it can also be a product of clutch mastery. So I ask again, 3.7'ers under dry conditions have you ever done an AWD burn/peel out? Not just chirping the tires for a fraction of a second.
Mods can I get a title edit? I'd like it to say: AWD - Four Wheel Burnout/Extended Peel Out

butt, you're seriously damaging your ride like that.
wear on tires, wear on clutch, wear on drive train.........
very dumb to drop the clutch and put wear on your car for nothing. unless you have unlimited amount of money and can replace tires and drive train because of abuse
. I'm just curious about others experiences on the matter, since a lot of guys here have different levels of bolt on's. I'd like to know at what point do you step over that line if at all possible. If possible though, I wouldn't recommend doing it often.
even with power, its still not worth it.
mounts, axles, LSD....
the better dick swinging experiment would be the quarter mile.
where you dont necessarily have to beat on your car to get a decent time.

ohh, i assumed you were 6mt.
silly on my part.
i think the best you could do is torque brake/launch.
and even then, I dont think it will allow you to hold the rpms high enough to let you do a true burnout. correct me if im wrong

Good luck...as owner of a hemi Charger with AWD as well, doing an all wheel drive burnout is near impossible, and I have intake and exhaust. The closest I got was in winter going through a corner I was able to get all break loose. IMHO, both of these cars weigh alot and put too much weight down. The torque needs are huge to pull something off.
But there is always a way, depends on the amount of stress you want to put on the car. I watched a STI do a burnout on dry pavement, but I imagine he had to rev high and dump the clutch.

No, not really...I don't get the RPM's high enough before releasing the clutch. Not really sure of whereabouts in the range I am but I'd guess @ 2.5k. Even then that's only on rare occasions.
I can't even get second to chirp regularly. I chalk it up to the CDV but who knows...maybe I'm just not as good of a manual driver as I'd like to think.

Tie the car to a tree or add power.
My Trailblazer SS with 400+ lb ft would chirp all 4 but not leave tire marks unless I skid on a turn.
Also, best AWD burnout pic ever.

Yea that's pretty massive, I said burnout meant extended peel out.
Anyway excuse my child like joy, I've had/been working on this project for over a month and just recently decided to show part of it's potential to two friends. One of them filmed it, I didn't know till later that he had filmed this run. I could've further roasted my tires but in doing so, might've taken out my transmission. I still have some kinks to work out to get my low end back, but the top end is pretty sweet. 275 summer rubber is on the way, along with time slips. I've noticed that depending on my take off, having 1/4 tank, no passengers and a nearly empty trunk kinda sort'a affect 0-60.
Without further ado:

Express = impress, DOH!

Love the caption Matt, did you get the coils in yet? Hmm, I can view it on my work PC, but not on my iphone. Justn any suggestions? Brock I rather not get into details as of yet.
The problem with the TL when it comes to burnouts is that the AWD system is designed to do exactly the opposite, the car is constantly transferring torque around to different wheels looking for grip. You need full-time AWD to do a proper AWD burnout which is why you see the EVO's and STI's doing it.
Ok, on keeping it confidential. I was trying to look at the video from my iPad so that might be the issue.
I've driven and but dyno Carlos aka HeartTL and his car pulls very hard, we did some pulls a few days ago and I am amazed how hard his car pull. We have the same TL and mines feels so slow when coming from his to mine.
i dont think so.
it's gotta be a small hotrod trick or some sort.
cams, or maybe even head work.
but then the you would need a tune... even with a FI..you would need a tune.
a ported and polished intake manifold and its runners while boring out the throttle body would see gains without a tune.

Carlos, very impressive sir!!!
Dang that baby revs hard!!! Nice work.
I wouldn't consider this a burnout though but more like a "peelout" lol.
