Autostart on 2009 SH-AWD Tech Package

I live in Chi and just bought my black on black TL 2009 SH-AWD Tech Package and traded in my 03 TLS. I loved my autostart in my 03 for those cold winters and hot summers, but the dealer said that there is no Acura autostart for the push button. Has anyone heard differently and if so what was your cost? Txs!

It's not available yet from any of the major co's. They are having trouble and it's slowing things down. Acura made it crazy complicated from what a tech told me at one company. I'll post when I hear something. Many on the forum are also waiting.

My dealership said $600 which includes a key and programming. They said it could be done.

Long Island... they also said that I would get a second small fob to do the remote start and the extra key they need gets buried in the dash. It's Island Acura for those interested.

Yes, there it is on p. 11 of the brochure -- thanks for posting.

BTW, nice to see Acura reference their American Le Mans Series racing efforts on p. 12 of the brochure -- including the Patron Highcroft Racing team.

Odd that Acura does not promote this connection more vigorously in the U.S.

I just talked with Peter at Island Acura and the only remote start available is for the 09 TL without push to start on the non-tech. I also checked my local source who uses DEI and Compustar and they both do not have modules for the push to start. As I said before, Honda has made the programming a pain in the neck so that's the delay. One company may just skip it if they can't do it soon.

And was also told from a regional Acura manager that the Canadian Acura remote start has a real world range of about 50', and no features at all. So other than using it at your house, or when you can actually see the car and it's within 50' it's a waste of money.

I don't think most "Mericans" (sic) know what LeMans is... But I have a big foldout on P1/2 in my US brochure that briefly mentions it.

Yes, I know it's there -- but "briefly mentioning" is the issue.
