Anyone know where I can get HPT?
Ive been slapping myself in the face for not getting the HPT for an extra $1000 when I purchased by TL. Ive looked online and found a couple sites that sell refurbished wheels. one sit was $199.95/each and another site was $239.99/each wheel. But they didn't have any pics of the wheel. What they do have is the right description of the wheel so I'm pretty sure those are the HPTs that Ive been looking for.
Here's the site where I found the $199.95
http://shop.wheelsrims.net/2009-acur...y71788u20.html
Basically, what I'm trying to ask is if these are good prices for a refurbished/refinished wheel? And if anyone knows where I can find these wheels for a really good price.
Thanks is advance.

Lots of nice aftermarket rims out there... why insist on OEM? If you're gonna spend the money, might as well get something a little different.
I am keeping my OEMs to run winter tires on (don't want salt corrosion on the custom rims), otherwise would sell them to you gladly.

FWIW, I thought the 19" HPT factory option for $1,000 is a very good price (although in my case I had the stealership swap in the summers for HPT all seasons, as I didn't want to deal with swapping tires due to the unpredictable Northwest weather). Makes for a slightly harsher ride though, IMHO.

For $2500 you can get a set of Ron Jon 20" Harrows ($417 per rim) and tires, even less if you go for a set of 18's or 19's in a dif style like the Vega.
I spent the extra $1k at purchase for the HPT option because it was a smokin deal. Sold the tires and put dedicated snows on them for winter use. Now I am thinking I want to get rid of them, make my Diamonds my winters and put 20" Harrows on as my three season.

OP, if you don't mind me asking. Why these? Are they for everyday use or are they going to be for winter use? I got them because I wanted to stay with the factory look for my winters.

I just think they look really nice on the TL. I know what you guys are saying when you say that I can get better looking set of wheels for the same price or even less, but I dont know if I want to go aftermarket.
Ive dealt with rims before on my 04 MDX and they were just a hassle to be honest but they were also pretty heavy compared to the stock 17s that came with the truck. Maybe its a different story with the TL if I get a lightweight wheel. I can get some nice 19s or 20s but I don't want to take performance away from the car. I love the RonJon Legend IIs but I just dont know about going aftermarket. I don't know much about wheels specs or anything.
I have a friend that has an 09 Accord V6 4door and it came with 17s. He put a set of 20s that were the same weight, if not lighter than the 17s but his car got slower. Thats what I dont want to happen.

Good luck in your search, I am sure that you will be able to score a set for well under a $1000.

I havent called them yet to be honest. If I were to get them, I would want to get some summer tires on them. So I dont know for sure whether Im going to keep them on year round, might keep the 18s for winter. My plan with these are to paint them more of a gunmetal maybe and definitely lower the car with the 19s on with some sort of spacers. What do you think?

Thanks Ron, I really love your wheels. My main concern really is performance, acceleration of the car to be exact. Would it make a difference going from the stock 18s to your Legend Type IIs? I just don't want to hurt acceleration. You know what I'm trying to say?
For example, I have a friend with an 09 accord V6 4door and it came with the 17s. He put a set of staggered 20s that were the same weight, if not lighter than his stock 17s. But his car got slower after putting those wheels on. That's what I don't want to happen.

Well at first, I was looking for the HPTs for my TL. Now, it either between the HPTs or the 20" RonJon Legend Type IIs Since I'm not in a hurry for it, I'm just going to wait til next summer to make a decision. I figured that's plenty of time to make a decision for what I want.
