Acura Seat Covers

I know it's kind of tacky to put seat covers on a TL but I am worried about damaging the seat. Does anyone have a source for custom seat covers?

Take good care of the seats with a good leather cleaner and conditioner (once a month or so) and seat covers will be unnecessary. Also, any wear on a leather seat can be easily fixed with excellent results by a good leather upholstery shop. Getting seat covers is a way to ensure the next owner of your car will have great seats, but you never got to enjoy them. You paid a lot for your car and should enjoy your seats.

yes... the covers will only prevent dirt from getting on the seats which can easily be cleaned BUT the seats will still wear and wrinkle even with the covers on!

its your decision but it would be a waste of nice leather to use the covers

sometimes people's enjoyment comes out of preserving what they have in like new condition, even if it comes to wrapping their couch in plastic ... i know thats how it is for me atleast

Maybe I should apply that logic to my girlfriends. I dont think she will mind if I preserve her in plastic.

i was going to spend the $175 for the back seat cover, my kid just cant keep the suncreeen off of the leather. Sunscreen is like glue, that stuff just doesnt want to come off.

I have the back seat cover for mine. I like it. Now that I have 2 kids, it's definitely worth it. People say that cleaning up leather is easy but not until you have to scrape off hardened milk that has undergone several days in hot sun.

Cool, number two is on the way, another good reason to cover the back seat. Sharp cbp gunner, I dig the black chrome look and other mods you have done!

I live in Hawaii and so many surfers use these. www.wetokole.com They make custom wet suit seat covers. They even make sleaves to cover the center councel. They can custom cover anything in a wet suit. Kinda expensive but nice alternative to sheep skin haha.

Are you talking about the rear seats or front? You'll want to avoid putting covers on the front seats. The side impact airbags won't be able to deploy.

I told my wife to DROP the sun screen till we get to the beach here in San Diego,,,, that stuff is nasty and requires a cleaner conditioner to get it off and you want to use the cleaner ASAP not a week after it dries up. Her TSX has those marks, drives me crazy and I prohibit it in my TL!

Good idea, we stopped putting the sunscreen on before heading to the pool. We took her prius on vacation to keep the crud out of the tl. It was tough driving a prius for a week, but after looking at her car after the trip, i am glad we left the tl parked in the garage!

Certain manufacturers are now making seat covers that are designed to split or tear in the spot where the airbag is located. I'd make sure mine at least had this feature if putting them on the front seats.
