Acura Emblem

Looking for advice, thinking of building or buying a big acura emblem to hang in my garage. Any ideas on where to find something like this or ideas on materials to make one myself.

Thanks

i'd more tempted to just make a template with cardstock and just spraypaint the logo if you really want it

otherwise, cardboard+paper mache if you're going for the ghetto look, or perhaps scroll saw-cut plastic.

how big do you want it?

lol im thinking something huge.

maybe you could brainstorm more ideas on placement, how big you want it, etc.

then you could figure out materials after proper planning.

Bring a ladder and a box of tools to your local dealer on a Sunday, when they're closed. Just take what you need off the side of the building.

^ LOL

But does it have to be an emblem? Why not a banner... I would imagine your dealer might be able to help with that.

here, grab some cardboard, draw below out but make it 100 times bigger, use fiber glass, mold it up and you got yourself giant emblem

A guy in another forum did this which I thought was pretty cool.

He said...
Made the TESLA cut out from wood using the miter saw and the scroll saw. Painted white. Sanded with 3000 grit sandpaper on the front end. Affixed to the wall with 3M tape.

Thinking about the size of a wall clock lol no where near the size of tesla image but someone told me wouldnt be too bad to make a mold out of silicon and make it from plaster. Was just trying to come up with a weekend project haha.

just paint one onto the wall instead of making some large 3D emblem. would look just as nice and be way easier / cheaper. there are programs that will print out large sized pictures on mutliple sheets of paper..then paste them up ont eh wall and trace it ..

good luck.

Trace the logo on Styrofoam and then cut it out and paint.

Here is another idea. Use one or several of these eBay projectors to shine on the wall or floor of the garage. Don't have to bother with arts and craft....that's too much work.
