ACURA CARE Warranty special!

We offered this up for RL last month and I was rather overwhelmed by the request for quotes!

TL owners! I have a special offer for Acurazine members. You can extend the warranty on your TL's through Acura Care. Your special price will be $150 over cost. If you email me @ gstirnaman@prestigeacura.com your VIN # and current mileage, I'll get right back to you with a quote. The only requirement is your car must be within the factory warranty to qualify.

Hear from you soon!
Greg

What does the current cost look like for under a 1000 miles for a 6 year/100,000 mile warranty?

For an 09 TL 6yr/100k, the Acurazine special would be $995.

You can cancel it, but they will keep some of it for processing fees etc. Whether or not it would make sense to do it depends on how much they keep I guess... sorry about that...

OK, straight from the horses(acura's) mouth... coverage in Canada must be purchased in from a dealer in Canada. Sorry about that.

AcuraF&IGuy,

Not bad for $995.00 But the following web site is offering the same for $970.00 (6yr/100k with Zero Deductible)...

and that is not even a special to Acurazine members...

http://www.myhondawarranty.com/plans...&Submit=Submit

I am affraid of what other better prices I could find with a little more research...

Sweeten the pot a little... For us new 4G's I thinking a group buy at like $50.00 over invoice...

I don't think you'll find much better than someone selling a warranty @ $25 over cost, and that is what that that site is doing. Can't beat it, but I'll match it...

So $945.00 is cost or as quoted above $995.00 - $150.00 or $845.00 I am really confused... Warranties are always so marked up.... Why not just take the first 10 or 20 warranty upgrades from 4G owners at $850.00? This helps us out and also helps your numbers... That would be the deal... I beat up dealers for a great deal on my TL SH-AWD but refused to pay the crazy cost of the additional warranty... Not saying that this is not a fair price but this could get a lot better for Acurazine members...... Just trying to get the best price for myself and others... By the way you came to the site to give us a competitive price so lets try to go outside the box...

Thanks

Cost on the $100 deductible is $845 + $150 = $995
Cost w/ $0 deductible is $945, so the $970 you saw represents $25 over cost.

If you want longer terms, just email me personally and I'll get that # for you.

Mr Acura F&I I have an August '06 with 59k miles. Does the powertrain coverage count as "in" warranty ? or do you offer a special deal for these miles. Miles are mostly highway and the car drives as way lower miles.

Sorry Jeff, the car must still be within the 4yr/50k portion of the warranty to qualify for Acura Care. After that, it can only be sold at the time of purchase. So unless you want to sell me your car so I can sell it back to you....there are some after market companies that offer warranties after the factory expiration, costs vary by company/state/dealer/make and miles. Check with your local dealer, they may be able to help...

I'm sure AcuraF&I is paying to be an "vendor" on here. Sponsors and paying vendors are one key part to keeping this site running no?

Why not take care of him and let him make a few bucks on the warranty he's selling?

Have know problem with people making a buck... The problem is the consumer (members) have know clue how many bucks that maybe... I realize everyone needs to make a certain profit over "cost" but a consumer really has no clue what a factory extended warranty runs and to state that a 6yr/100K zero deductible cost the dealer $945.00 is a little hard to believe... You know being from the business that every dealership has a target range between $1,200 to $1,700 for the same warranty and any sell in that neighborhood is gravy to the business manager... All I was trying to state in my many emails is place a crazy number of like $30 to $40 over "real" cost for the first 10 - 20 members to make this a great deal for members...

May be hard to believe, but the cost is what the cost is. You can believe me or don't, the choice is yours. Why would I lie about it? Makes no sense to me. It does cost my store to be a vendor/sponsor here and to jepardize the standing of the dealership over a couple of bucks would be illogical. Not to mention unethical.

Many others have realized the good deal and have taken advantage of it. To them I say thanks, good luck and good driving!

AcuraF&IGuy,
I just got my '09 Tech for business lease. Negotiated 36 month/20,000 mi/year. How much for my last 10,000 miles to be covered as the factory is only good for 50,000?

Elcondor,
The least expensive way to cover the last part of the lease is actually to get the 6 year/70k miles. The other option is 5/100 which would be overkill by a long shot. The 6/70 is $815. You can email me personally @ gstirnaman@prestigeacura.com and we can set it up for you if you desire....

8 yr / 120,000 miles?

How much would your charge be for an 8 yr / 120,000 mile warranty $0 deduct, and is there any out of state purchase tax on the warranty? I'm based out of Middle Tennessee.

$1610. There is no tax, so $1610 would be the total charges to you. Email me directly @ gstirnaman@prestigeacura.com and we can set your warranty up.
Thanks,
Greg
