I traded my 2012 6speed TL in for a 2016 Audi S4 with the sport diff and 6 speed transmission. Night and day difference in terms of performance. Only thing I miss about the TL is its a little bigger although the rear seats fold down in the S4 giving more trunk space if required.
The aftermarket support for the S4 is on another level.

The sad thing is that the 4G TL could hold its own against the S4 of that era (some mags even ran a track comparo between the two), for example I did prefer my 2010 SH-AWD 6MT over a 2010 S4 but after that Acura got left in the dust pretty much across the board....Audi zoomed ahead where Acura went backwards...

^^ Automobile was one of those that ran a track comparison between the 6MT 4G and S4. There was a .1 second difference in average lap times, so essentially dead even. The S4 could hit a little higher speed on the straights, but gave it all away to the TL in the turns. (Oh, and the S4 was about $15K more than the TL). The forthcoming Type S needs to get back to that level of performance competitiveness.

...and let's not forget that the TL was bigger (also roomier especially in the back) and heavier...

I'm still here, putting 30K a year on my 2014 TL SH-AWD, best car I've ever owned, I have over a hundred DVD-A's that keep the miles with me!
