I知 having a recently started intermittent clicking or pinging noise coming from the right side of my engine as I知 sitting in the drivers seat that in my 2014 FWD TL. Mileage is 290k with all maintenance and timing belts done at service intervals.

possible causes for noise? Is it safe to drive the car? Would you dump the car ASAP? Appreciate input from any Techs who are on the forum.

First you need to remove the serpentine and start the engine to localize that the noise is not coming from the engine. When replacing the timing belt, did you change all the pulleys and the pump? Who is the manufacturer of the timing mechanism? Excellent mileage, the engine and automatic transmission for this car are not expensive, so change what fails first and use this horse further.
