2013 TL Air conditioner question
its likely i will be buying a 13 model TL Tech FWD next week. did some research in this forum and found a post about weak air conditioner in some of the '12 models. anyone with a '13 model have any issue with the AC not blowing cold enough?

i just bought a '09 sh tech and noticed the A/C isn't the greatest. i also have a '14 infiniti Q50 that has amazing A/C. it freezes me out. maybe i'm a little low on freon in the TL? I mean it's cold, but not that cold.

It's too bad you can't get an Advanced model, the ventilated seats really help when it's hot.
The AC works great in my 13' TL Advanced. I even took it to Phoenix during the summer and it worked fine.
Two notes though:
There's definitely a clutch or some kind of mechanism that disengages the compressor when you accelerate. Those have been around for years and I guess they're used to increase MPG and/or power during acceleration. You'll feel the AC warm up for a few seconds until you let off the gas. If someone drives around constantly mashing the gas, I could imagine the AC acting weird.
Also, when you're idling and it's really hot outside, the AC won't get as cold as when the car is moving. In that case if I'm sitting at a light, I might throw the car into neutral and give it a little gas to get the RPM's up to where the air cools off.
