2012 A-Spec Kit

Hey guys,

I've done a lot of googling and just wondering where my best bet would be to purchase an A-Spec kit for my 2012? I've found it at HeelToe, but wondering if there is anywhere that would be a bit cheaper? I am in Canada but I have an address I can ship it to on the US side and then pick up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mike

Define "cheaper"

I think I paid ~$950 shipped from a member on here that works at a dealership. You're not going to magically find it for $600

Hey Mike, i Bought my 12' at Acura of North Toronto and had them order and install it for me, i Don't recall how much i paid because i worked it into the deal when i purchased but I'm thinking it was around 1700. I wouldn't think you would find any deal stateside that would be good enough o offset the crappy dollar and shipping charges, call around your local dealers and get some prices

"Cheaper" being anything that will be less in monetary terms, A.K.A spending the least amount of dollars as possible, preferably less than HeelToe is retailing for. LOL

Just playin' around. I'm just trying to get the best deal that I can, and I'm not sure what I should be paying. I would be happy to pay that ~$950 shipped. Does the member still have access to them?

I know I'm not going to be paying $600 for a kit.

Thanks for the help!!

Thanks! I know if I buy from HeelToe and ship to the US to pick up, I can get away with under $1000CDN for front/back only. I'll try calling around to some dealerships to get pricing.

My point was you say "cheaper" but cheaper than what? You never listed a price.

AckTL05 is the member that ran a sale awhile back that I purchased from.

Just to update the thread, I ended up purchasing an OEM front/rear A-spec kit from a dealership on the U.S. side for $612 total, and I will cross the border to pick up as it worked out much cheaper this way.

Sides too? I got my kit brand new, (front, rear and sides), for $700 shipped and that was by far and away the best deal I could find on it.

No, as I said only front/rear.. If I could have found that deal for $700 all around I would have jumped on it!! I'm guessing that deal isn't around anymore.

It was an old quote that a company honored for me when contacted them. I don't think that's what they normally sell them for. The company is called Alpha Automotive.

That's an awesome price, good for you! I called around and asked a bunch of places but this was the best I could get. I have the option of trying to fit it in my car for the ride home or have them install it. Does anyone know whats a reasonable install price at the dealer?

The dealer will charge A LOT for the install. Both bumpers need to be removed...holes drilled. The pieces are small if just the front and rear. Just take them home and install them yourself.

My problem is that I'm going to the U.S from Toronto with my wife for a week. They told me at the dealership that the boxes are huge, and if that's the case I can't have it taking up a ton of space in the car.

You can take the pieces out of the boxes. Without the boxes, they are pretty manageable. You could fit them all in the trunk or backseat easily. They're wrapped in foam padding.

Good to know. If they offer to install for a reasonable price I will take them up on it, but I'm not expecting that to happen lol. Thanks for the info!

BTW, I just realized I've previously read the progress thread you made for your car, and your car is beautiful. I want to do many of the same things you've done.
