2012 TL with Tech package

Am getting this urge to upgrade to a brand new 2012 TL with tech package, a yr back bought a base 2010 TL certified and dont know whether its worth to take a hit in the trade in for my car for a 12 TL

What do you guys recommend ? Is it worth it

I see people are getting it at 32k which comes to 35K OTD, is that what you can expect to pay now or something cheaper

Thanks

I don't think it would be worth it. Might as well wait for the TLX.

boss2k....I agree with the poster above. The 2012 TL is a great car but within 1 year from now, the TLX will be released and you may feel teh same way about your 2012 TL as you now feel about your 2010 TL. If you really like this MMC design and 6 speed tranny, why not wait until you see the concept TLX and make an informed decision then. I am positive that as we get closer to the TLX being released, there will be amazing discounts to be had on the 2013 TL which will be the same as a 2012. At least, you will not have buyers remorse knowing you had all the facts before making the purchase...My 2 cents

I have an 09 TL tech and when the new body style comes out I will be at the dealership that weekend. But to me there is no point trading a 10 for a 12.
Yes the 12 has a 6 speed but I've driven both and I prefer the 5 speed because I enjoy the car holding the gear longer. Plus after changing my pulley my gas mileage improved by 5 MPG. Most people say the gas mileage is an advantage for the 12 but whatever.

agree let me wait for TLX, but whatever i read its going to be smaller than current TL which may not work for me. I need the space as thats the family car.

thanks for your feedbacks

What "weather" said but at the same time any change from a base to a tech is a significant upgrade in my book and worth the difference.

For whatever one stupid old man's opinion is worth, I would hang onto the car you have.

There is not enough difference between the 4G and 4G-A to be worth the price.

It's the same car with a slightly different look and as the years wear on the public has come around to the more aggressive look of the original 4G design.

I love the Advance Package that's available on the new cars, but you can't get the 6-6 SH-AWD and have the Advance Package, because of differences in the computer aid that is required for the 6-6.

Really...I'd hang onto what you have unless you're thinking of moving from FWD to AWD or from 5AT to 6-6.

Not to thread jack, but I'm thinking about the similar thing. Switching from 2010 AWD w/ Tech to 2012 AWD w/ Tech. If I can do it for nothing down and getting the same payment, would it be worth it? I figure the TLX is coming out next year but I'm sure prices are going to be ridiculous. I can get a 2012 now for a great price and wait another 2yrs and get a TLX around this same time when they are blowing them out for the next years model. How does that plan sound? Would you guys still recommend to wait for the TLX?
