Hey guys. So my wife had the car at the store today and some lady crashed into my car while it was parked. My wife was in the store when it happened.
Any thoughts on repairs. What to look for and good body shop in Central Jersey.
Sorry this happened...it looks like just the bumper cover but since the pics don't show the passenger side of the car, it's tough to say. Was the other driver impaired or just not paying attention?? Where in NJ are you? We had my wife's Cadillac SRX repaired at Lamon Auto Body in Mt. Holly, NJ and they did exceptional work (it is a GEICO approved repair shop).
that is an easy $4000 job.. quarter panels are a pain in the ass.. you cant repair quarter panels.. you can only replace... and you it depreciates the value of the car once that has happened.. (only if you sell back to dealers that know what to look for)
quarter panel
bumper
possible side frame damage
wheel
tire
alignment
paint
tail light.
Unfortunately im working and im not with the car. I got the pictures text to me. I haven't even seen it in person. My wife drove it home and she said it feels rough.
Just got home and was able to see everything. Drove it for a little bit and its pulling to the right and sounds like something is grinding but i cant see anything. Looks like frame is bent. There is an inch less of gap on the passeneger side wheel well between the tire and quarter panel. Wheel looks tilted in also. Obviously the bumper needs to be replaced.
If you can see something I can't, please feel free to let me know. Or if there is something specific I should be looking for, I would appreciate it.
Just take it to a reputable, Acura approved body shop. They know what to look for and will work it out for you. No point in trying to assess the damage yourself.
That sux.
How did that happen? Was the other driver texting or she was having a medical condition?
It's a parking lot I just can't think of driving more than 25mph but took out your rear bumper and damage the frame ... that is something..

The driver hit the gas instead of the brakes when pulling into the spot.
Glad you got it back and it looks good.
P.S. Nice visors.
Thanks, Looking to Tint the windows and put in HID Fog lights
What was the final tally on the repair bill, if you don't mind my asking?
Repair was $2,800. All paid for by their insurance.
