2012 TL headlights on 2010 4G TL???

Does anyone know if the 2012 headlights fit the stock set up on a 2010 tl? Broke my passenger side headlight and need a new one but don't want a fresh and a faded set up, so may buy 2 new headlight, just want to know if anyone has tried this and make sure it fits our front bumper. Thank you all

Yes, they will fit. I have 2012 headlights in my 2011, they look better also IMO because of the black background.

get a 09-11 and retrofit it. swap it out with tsx-r lens and still be cheaper than buying 2 new headlights.

what i did was after i painted it, left it out in the sun for about 4 hours.. then baked it in the oven for another hour in very low heat.. like 200 degrees to cure the paint.. fumes should go away after it cools down.. wash it lightly and let it dry then back in it goes.

^^^What type of paint did you use? Was it a high temp type?

I ask because when I painted the headlights on my old car it ended up bubbling over time due to the FL heat.

High heat paint isnt necessary, Sounds like improper prep to the surface or too much paint. If it got hot enough inside to bubble the paint you should have been melting parts of the headlight

you can use high heat temp paint.. its just a back up if things do get too hot.. but remember.. score up your headlights first with a scotch brite pad first, then primer and then paint.

Oh ok, I likely used too much paint...I prepped the surface with very coarse sandpaper and used a primer.

Thanks! How many coats of primer / paint did you use? Also, did you use any clear coat? If so, how many coats?

Is a spacer kit needed with those tsx-r lenses?

I spoke to theretrofitsource.com, I told them that the place where the pins slide into that hold the bulb in place broke on my passenger side headlamp, I told them I need a new projector, they said they can give me 2 new projectors and 2 tsxr lenses for 250 shipped, they will mount the lenses and adjust them for me so all I have to do is just bolt them into the headlight, what do you think bout that potmilkz?
