2012 front air "diffuser"

hello...i have a stock 2012 TL SH-AWD Tech MT with 18 inch wheels. Tires size are also stock. No drops. No lower springs. Does the front air "diffuser" on the bottom front of the car scrap when driving off or on a curve? I've had to drive up and drive down off my driveway sideways to prevent the scraping. It's happening pretty consistently and it's not even a very high curb. I also do not hit the curve at a fast speed. Has this ever happened to you? For owners with after-market rims and tires with low profiles, how do you prevent this from happening. As always, i thank the community for any information.

I have scraped mine only once and that was a very steep incline driveway to a flat street and I have the lip kit on mine. In places where my 3G TL with lip kit would scrape, this one doesn't

Not sure if the air "diffuser" on the 12 TLs are the same as the 09-11s, but on my 2010 TL w/19" HPT all seasons, when I first got the car I would scrape the diffuser every time going up and down my very steep driveway. Drove me nuts every time I heard that sound.

Then I found out, like you said, I have to turn somewhat sideways onto the driveway to avoid scraping the diffuser when going up, and when backing out the same thing in reverse.

per the acura estore, the part is actually called an "air guide." not bad...only 15 bucks to replace. i guess the TLs just has a low profile coming off the factory.

Wife had scraped ours up pretty bad while entering her driveway at work. No amount of side angle entry degree would keep the car from touching the ground. She finally gave up and began entering the business from another driveway.

Soft plastic^. After it is worn on the corners as ours has become, it looks like shit. Time to spend $15 on an air guide.

Ya my wife has scraped it a couple of times. I just touch it up with a can of Satin Black spray paint.
