2012 Acura TL Base strut help
I have a question and was wondering if anyone has or had encountered this. I'm changing out the front struts on my Acura that has 104k on it. I just purchased Monroe's, nothing fancy. The problem is that the passenger side Monroe is called a slow rod extension and doesn't look anything like the drivers side. The drivers side went in fine, with 1 connection for the ABS line. The passenger side strut I keep being given manufactured by Monroe has 2 ABS connections and the rod coming out of the tower has to be turned counter clockwise to release the rod all the way. The part looks totally wrong.
If someone could explain/help me with this that would be great. This is my first post and new to the Acurazine community. Below is the pic of the passenger side.

That strut looks like a "universal" (that's why the brake line bracket slots are on both the left and right side) so it can be used on the driver and passenger side. Personally, those types of units typically don't have the same ride characteristics as the OEM struts. If it was mine, I would return them and go for either OEM or a quick strut:
