Seen it in the 4G Picture Thread.

Best bet is They are wrong - NO TL-S in '09.

It's probably the SH-AWD with production tips.

It's a pic of the 2009 AWD version

The text on that site says it all...
"Alas, unlike the rear end of 2009 TL we've already spotted around town a few times, you can make out quad-pipes, a clear sign this is almost certainly the 2009 Acura TL Type-S."

Do'ah! We all already know that the AWD version is getting the quad pipes.... Apparently, that news hasn't yet gotten over to the people who write for that site as the author OBVIOUSLY mistakenly identified the AWD post-production model as a Type-S. It's not a CLEAR sign of it being a Type-S, rather it is a CLEAR sign that this is CERTAINLY the 2009 AWD version of the new model.

I AM buying a NEW car in 2009. I think it sucks that a Type-S isn't being released soon.

I bought a 2006 TL NAV in Aug 06 then in Sept 06 I saw the new 07 TL-S. I was pissed off. In Dec 06 I bought the 07 TL-S and lost ALOT of $$$ on the trade. WON'T do that again.

I guess I will buy a BMW 135i manual and sell it when A REAL SH-AWD MANUAL TL Type-S comes out. I HOPE a coupe comes out. I DON'T NEED 4 doors.

Quit the off topic posts. Consider this a warning.

Don't be too disappointed JD. This is Acura's modus operandi. In both the 2nd and 3rd gen they've used the TL-S as a kind of Mid-Model Refresh, releasing it 2 or 3 years after the Base Spec.

I am *very* hopeful (and pretty confident) that a 4th TL-S is in the offing for 2011 or 2012.

Yes, you're right. I was too preoccupied with the off topic post.
