2009-2014, LED tail light?

Hi, I was wondering 4G TL from 2009-2014, are they came with LED tail light? I told my friend to stepped on the Brake and I took a look but I couldn't tell if they are LED or not. I got BASE TL model by the way. The other day I saw the TL exact like mine and it's came with LED tail light, I mean I saw a bunch of little LEDs light up, really bright. ...but not on my car.

Let say the cars came with LED tail light, how do you change LEDs when they burn out? or you have to buy the whole set of new LED tail light, huh?

I don't know what the heck were they thinking but why the hell turn signal light and fog light too close together? Doesn't look right to me at all.

The LED circuit is one whole piece, so if one burns out it cannot be replaced individually.

It could be replaced if you're skilled enough

Oh dang it, I don't like that. Because the whole set of LED tail light will cost alot of money.

I generally defer to what Pots has to say on most matters. He's certainly not infallible...he just usually seems to be right.

But on this, I don't remember the tails being leds. Since I'm away from my car, I quickly pulled open the service manual, and on page 22-239, it certainly seems like those are bulbs, not leds.

EDIT: if I actually read some of the words in the manual, instead of only looking at the pictures, I'd have seen that although the signal and backup lights are bulbs, the tails and brake lights are in fact led.

But hey...now I'm hooked on phonics!

lol sockpuppet. you crack me up.. we all know turn signals and reverse are not led.. you can actually see the bulb just looking at it..

not sure if you ever taken your rear tail light out, there is no sockets for the the brake lights to put bulbs in..

Yeah, I know. I've had my TL for a few years now, and even though I don't look at the brake lights often, I've driven behind other TL's, and I've honestly never noticed before that they are leds.
