'13 vs '14
OK guys,
I am a current owner of a '12 but a buddy of mine us so enamored with the TL that he wants one. He is looking at newer. Can anyone tell me the difference between the '13 and the '14? As far as I can tell, there are no styling differences. any help would be greatly appreciated.
BTW, I did google with no luck.

In general, because of the scientific process employed in engineering, which means learning from past mistakes and proving or disproving previous theories, the newer model will almost always benefit from more learning than the older model.
That being said, the major changes occurred during the new generation in 2009 for the 4G and MMC, which is 2012. By the time 2013 came by, the 4G TL was already in its 5th model year, which is pretty mature (or long in the tooth, depending on your viewpoint). 2014 was simply a model year spent waiting for the 2015 TLX.
For instance, I've read early posts from 4G owners who had to stick foam padding around the moonroof to eliminate a rattle. After reading that post, I went to my 2013 TL to apply the fix (not that I had a rattle, but I'd figure there's nothing wrong with taking a precaution), just to find that it had already been applied from the factory!
In short, if a 2013 and 2014 are side by side for the same price, I'd take the 2014. However, in this case, both the 2014 and 2013 are so far into the product's lifecycle that I'm sure that it really doesn't matter.

I have THAT Acura badge on my trunk lid, if that's what mean. Here's a picture of my car when it was new a year ago.

He's referring to the actual word, "Acura", that appears on the left side of the trunk lid on the '12 TLs. For '13 and '14 models they removed the word. The Acura logo that you're referencing is still there.

I see!!! Gee, you learn something new everyday. Can't believe I overlooked that for so long.

I overlooked that small change on my 2013 Z too, until I finally saw an earlier model in person that had the word Acura on the back and the "A" logo. Seems like Acura made this change to 2013 models. As far as the TL Sh-AWD, I think it would've looked better with the TL logo on the top left, keep the "A" logo in the middle where it currently is, and the Sh-AWD logo should've been on the top right. Removing the word Acura from the top left and putting nothing there makes it look a little off.

I had a '12 and moved into a '13 and the only change I've noticed is that the maps are updated. If the GPS is something you are going to use often, you maybe happier with the '14.
