I'm sorry this happened to you. I took delivery of mine 9/3 and it was ordered 6/13. He told me that I got my MDX at the perfect time. He said that those that have ordered after me are going to have to wait months longer than I did. He said production has stalled once again. I would definitely visit https://www.acura.com/inventory-results. You may need to alter your zip code and search radius. Hope it works out for you!

My Advance which was ordered on 9/15 is set to arrive at the end of this month. The inventory checker shows the car in transit now. Turnaround time from ordering to dealer receiving should only be a month and a half or two months max.

I think you are lucky to order one that is already allocated and has not yet being sold by the dealer. In my case, on Sept. 1 (the day we placed the order) all the allocated orders scheduled arriving in Sept and Oct were sold. As result, we were told the allocation that is still available to order is the one scheduled to be build around Oct. 20. Last week (Oct 6), we were told the build date has been pushed back to Nov. 17, and we won't be able to get the car until late November or early December. The MDX currently arriving to the dealer were the order placed in July and August. It all depends upon whether the dealer still have unsold allocation that meets your choice of colors and packages. We stick with this dealer because this is the only dealer that still honors the pricing provided by Costco Auto Program within 250 miles radius.

My dealer told me they placed the order the day after I put the deposit down (Sept 16) for a build date of Sept 30-Oct 4 to deliver by end of October. If I chose another color (phantom violet pearl with ebony interior) I would have to wait until November. The good news is that the car was built on time and was listed on the website as in transit as of this past weekend so one week delay than anticipated.

The color combo I chose I know must be one of the most popular colors (liquid carbon with ebony interior.)

I’m not sure how the system works but my current Acura dealer has 7 MDX Advances in transit according to the Acura inventory. They must be getting a lot per month.

I got mine too from the Costco Auto Program and was able to save $4200 off MSRP.

UPDATE: Delivery date set for 10/22 for liquid carbon metallic in ebony interior. Ordered on 9/15/21. Looks like the wait time is only about a month and at most 2 months. I expect this will continue to improve as time goes on.
