about a week ago, I noticed what looks like maybe a no satellite signal pop up on the 2nd screen area. it would come on and off until the end of my trip, when I next started the car, no more symbol. I DID have a signal for everything, radio, Sirius, the navigation screen was properly updating my location. a few days later, in a different location, it happened again. since it's not causing any problems, I'm not worried about, just wondering WHAT it means.
I think it is for notification for if the status of the system if it needs to acquired more GPS signals for navigation. I think the Acura navi systems need 4 sources at a minimal before it can give you an accurate GPS location. Driving around helps pick up more satellites. I was in the Taos, NM, surround with peaks +13,000 feet a few years ago with my 11 MDX. My navi was off after a lunch break when I started my MDX. My GPS position had me driving through buildings and fields instead of the road. It reset itself after a while once it picked up a few more satellites.
I have a different question on my BT screen: What does the +2 mean ? (the pic above shows +1 ). Is that 2 Messages? THX for the help. I use Android Auto on my Pixel 4XL phone.
Oh , sorry one more thing in my Ignorance, Yesterday, when I started my MDX, I keep getting a Notification Sound ? Is that related to the +2 coming up in my screen? And when I click on Android Auto to engage it, a window appears to say that I cannot connect to the Phone? Is that because I have my Phone's HOTSPOT engaged? And I still can't use AT&T's HOTSPOT - free trial for 90 days. I'm in already for 15 days w/o being able to use it , just to try it. My Alexa works with the Phone's HOTSPOT engaged very well...THX for putting up with these questions.
