Has anyone had the Acura OEM transmission cooler installed on their 2022 to bring the towing spec to 5,000 lbs on SH-AWD models? My dealership said they were on long term back order and won’t be available until April or May! Anybody know why?

 

Bought a 22 Advanced today and had the OEM hitch installed and YES the transmission cooler is still on back order 4-10-21. They couldn't tell me whether it would be days or weeks. But they told me I had one ordered. If anyone gets one let us know so we know there are some in the system.

 

It is not unusual for accessories production not catching up with a just-released new generation vehicle model.

Recall that when I bought my 2014 MDX, since back then, it was just released a couple weeks before, the (dealer installed option) LED foglight was 6 months behind in production. But it was funny that Acura called it backorder, which is in fact a production delay.
