Removing Emblem Vinyl

I've seen how to remove the rear Acura A emblem (not A-spec) with nylon string and removing the black backing connected to alternate colors of emblems, but not specifically about keeping the chrome emblem. The Internet is not helping me find a chrome A that is "for" my car. My guess is that any one (or at least lots of them) will fit as it's universal, but I've seen some warning like it won't fit my car. Basically, I will keep the chrome look but remove the black. Is it possible to just re-use what I have? Is there a specific part? Do I tell the parts guy I have a 2019 MDX? And of the ones that I have seen, there seem to be a lot that are under $20 (but appear to be legit Acura) and over $80. What's up with that?
Thanks,
Mike Todd

If you are going to remove it by nylon string, you will be breaking the lugs that go thru the skin of the tailgate. At that point you are better off just reusing the one you took off and attaching it with 3M automotive double sided tape. Of course, you will have to cut the tape to fit the emblem

I would still like to know which Acura emblem to get in case I want to go that route. Perhaps because Acura only intends to use the black-out option or replacing with identical OEM stuff, I would need something that is technically for another model. When I search online, I get hundreds of different options and many looks somewhat different. Even if I bought the exact one that is OEM on this car, can I just remove the black backing and have it still fit? Part of why I say this is that in case I jack up something, I want to have a plan B. (Is it made of metal or plastic?) And some are under $20--that's pretty cheap, if it's right.
Thanks,
Mike Todd
