My remote start from the Acura link app is gone and I still have a month left before renewing. Anyone else have this happen to them?

 

Mine is still on for few days, (Aug 25) bought it in Feb. I've been getting email reminders though, Security is on for the whole year. Don't care for concierge but def on remote sub renewal but i don't know if Acura lets us do la carte.

 

yes, you can do remote start + security, it's $110 for the year. do NOT need to add concierge. (that ups it to $260/yr)

 

Mine is still there. 🤷🏻‍♀️ delete the app and reinstall maybe??

 

If reinstalling the app doesn't work, definitely contact AcuraLink customer service at 1-877-375-2638 (U.S.). I think the number for Canada is 1-855-335-5465.

Also, what does the app say for the Remote package in Subscription Status under Manage Subscription? By all means, you should be able to use Remote Start all the way up until the expiration date.

 

Thanks y’all, it was close to re-upping so I did and it magically came back. I probably should’ve just delete the app and run it again, but this worked.

 

Hi All... I am getting a MDX A-Spec 2022 and was wondering if I need to get the remote key installed or just live with the APP remote start.. the dealer is charging close to 1k with installation .. so was wondering which is wort it...

 

The app works well and it’s only $110 per year after the first 6 months. I thought of the remote start but $1000 is a tough pill to swallow

 

Even though it's also on my remote (good if within ~30 feet), I agree Remote Start works well on the app. The engine will automatically turn off after ~10 minutes and you can extend the time before it expires (or just send another command to start the engine again).

 

So I think you all have answered my question, but just to make sure - the app will provide for remote start on the Aspec, correct? That’s really the only feature I feel like I would miss on the Advance. Much prefer the look (both exterior and interior) of the Aspec.

 

I would assume for the app remote start to work, both your phone and the car would need a cellular signal. The fob-based remote start probably doesn't but it also probably needs to be at most 50-100 feet away from the car. This is just my guess. I don't have remote start on any of my cars. Here in CA it's pretty useless.

 

Yes, Remote Start via app is there for the A-Spex. The Key Remote start is an optional extra.
