Radar Detector Direct Wire & Warranty

Just got my now 2025 Acura MDX Type-S and freaking LOVE it!!! I'd like to direct wire my Escort 360 MAX 360c into the fuse box but want to make sure it won't void any warranties on my new car. I ask because I have a friend who bricked his Acura TL for 2 weeks with an electrical shortage that they believe was attributed to a direct wire issue (though I'm not sure it was ever truly proven that was the case). Does anyone know if this will affect the warranty or not? Thanks!

Oh, and it's great to back in the forum!!!

There's a law that says (paraphrasing) that aftermarket items cannot automatically void warranty without direct root cause being that aftermarket item. So dont screw it up and short anything out There's plenty of good DIYs out here
