Yokohama AS430 60k warranty, redeemable?
I bought an 04 TL last January, and i love love love this car.
that said, it has about 55k on it. I bought it from a dealership, and it had some yoko as430's on it. good tire, but they are very worn down (maybe 1-1.5mm from the tread wear marks).
i have read in several places that these tires have a 60k warranty on them. obviously they don't have 60k, as the car only has 55k on it (no idea WHEN they went on the car, nor do i have a receipt on the tires since i bought the car from a dealership used.)
Any way i can redeem this warranty? or do i just need to pony up for new tires (if so, i'm pretty sure i'm going with the RE960AS's)

without paperwork you have a problem
As well, so close to the limit by the odo- they pro-rate, meaning you pay 90 percent of the replacement price.
Check out the General Exclaim UHP tires. Some members say the sidewall is soft, I would like to see that in action, as I have a competition race license and have not experienced any cornering issues the average or spirited driver will encounter.
And I sometimes drive like an escaped mental patient~

oh- yeah not good for hardcore snow sorry- a little now and then maybe- one guy in Chicago runs them in that snow!
Check tirerack for ratings and reviews on tires- you can narrow down the display to what TLs are using.
Good luck, but kiss off that 60k warranty, the fine print on any of those screws you into buying the same stuff. I like to change and upgrade as technology changes.
Note- good dry weather sticky tires have low treadwear rating but awesome cornering and stopping power.

with out proof of purchase you will have to purchase new tires. IMOP Yokohama won't do anything for you. There is no way for Yokoham to tell if those tires were mounted on a different car before they were mounted on your TL.
For future referance for everyone, Save your paper work and Have proof that the tires were rotated at least every 6 to 8k.
