Yeah they are sticky, but...
Drove over to Tire Rack yesterday and got myself a new set of Sumitomo HTR+ (225/45R17). These bad boys are sticky as hell! Love them so far. But because of the size difference from stock, my TL-S REALLY looks like an SUV now with the increased gap.
Didn't think it would make such a big difference in looks. Oh well, maybe I'll invest in some coilovers later.

I've been considering getting new tires as well. Just wondering what your thoughts are on those sumotomos- is it noisier than the stock ones? And is ride quality changed any- for better or worse?

Make sure what you want.
Best grip
Best acceleration
Balance of both, but leaning which way
etc . . .
Ping me and maybe we can hook up and I'll give you all the details. I just went through this and spent weeks researching my options.
BTW - I went with 225/45/17 Toyo Proxes T1-S. Not the cheapest, but best balance overall.
