Winter Wheels

What do you think about these for a winter package? They are the perfect size but I'm looking for something that looks decent. These don't look that great. Anyone have any good suggestions other than OE?

winter rims on my tl

I have an 08 6MT Type S, and started looking last night for a set of rims / tires for winter use. I looked at those Sport Tuning rims, and agree that I am not entirely sold on them, but IMO they were among the better looking I could find (and still a good price for 17" winter set). IMO they are better than the 08 TL OEM split 5 star, but IMO still think that 06 OEM TL wheel looks better.

Did you see the tire rack winter special for about 1k?

I am considering a set of 06s, and doing research on cost / condition etc. I read tonight on the forum that 06 rim differs from 04-05 regarding fit TPMS. I have not verified yet, but would figure better chance 06 rim may be in better shape.

No way I dropping big money on a new set from Acura. Plenty out there used, and even saw some stores selling new or replica wheels.

I like the idea of new wheels, but not sure about quality. Any chance anyone has bought from these stores?

I had a horrible experience with those wheels, and a real fight to get tire rack to stand behind them.

Thanks for the info. I figured the price was too good to be true.

I'd rather just get a used set off ebay than get replicas. Even oem new off ebay is not that expensive.

Yeah, I've been scanning eBay. That's where those stores came up. Read on one forum that one site was not replica wheels. So they are either good/used or refurbished I guess.

Also checking craigslist, etc. Seen a few good deals. But not 100% decided yet on what I want. Still researching and considering options- like using my 17 OEM type S wheels for winter tires and buying new 18 RonJon Legends in Liquid Graphite for summer tires. I checked tire rack and plenty of options for 18" tires that are in same price as 17s. Just not sure I want to plus 1 size. Ideally, I'd like to find nice set of 17s that are gunmetal and look similar to legends. Not really alot of options for 17s, and less in dark silver / gunmetal like OE color. With the Type S and brake dust, I'd like to stay away from silver / bright wheels

Been scanning this forum and other galleries for ideas and options. Most/all of the pix are 18 and up size wheels. .

Will keep looking.....

morxchn designs wheel / OE Wheels LLC

Anyone have these wheels on their car or have any experience with wheels from this designer (MORXCHN DESIGNS) or this company (OE WHEELS LLC)? They make replica wheels.

Considering a set (in gun metal but they have no pix on web) for winter rims:
