Will this work?

18 x 7.5 with a 45mm offset? with a 235/40/18 tire?

That is squeezing it pretty tight. No doubt you will have to do some snip and trimming of the bumper tabs. Are you dropped?

They will work. I have 18x8's with 235/40/18's. You will need to trim the plastic the rears a little bit. I did not have to roll them. And yes, I am dropped with Eibach's ProKit.

I think with 18x7.5, 45 offset, 225/45/18 will work without trimming.

225/45YR18 91Y Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position, but change that to 235/40 18's. With no drop, you will not rub.

I suggest following the tire manufacturers recommendations. Since you're on a 7.5" wheel, stay with the 225's. Manufacturers guidelines are there for a reason.
